I’m so glad you found our little corner of the internet.
My name is Katie Jo Rauch. I’m a wife, mother, home educator, business owner, homesteader, Jesus follower, and an always-learning musician. My kids are past ‘little kid’ stage but not yet independent. I’m in the best years of child rearing and I know it - they will come first no matter what. Finding a balance between that and 100% customer satisfaction has been interesting but not impossible! I’m very aware of the fact that’s a lot to juggle, but I’m also aware that everything lasts for a season, and that in ten years I’m going to miss this juggling act.
I’m a firm believer in God and that in each and every season I must bloom where I am planted. I work really hard to create products and experiences that are easy to enjoy. I want people to feel understood by me, and affirmed. I want them to feel comfortable and known. The whole reason I started dabbling in Tallow skincare was because my son had dry skin and eczema patches. I knew the struggle personally and wanted to fight to make sure he didn’t feel as hopeless as I did. I’m empathetic to a fault, which is both a curse and a blessing. A curse because I had to learn how to lay some seriously firm boundaries. A blessing because I truly celebrate and feel relief for every single person who messages me, or tells me in person, a success story.

Some days when I do in-person events, I see so many repeat customers and hear so much feedback like this that I go home, curl up in bed, and cry. I’m going to say something cliche - I’m not a crier. But those days specifically overwhelm me with so much relief and so much joy for these families that I have to let myself feel it. I didn’t invent Tallow, or the idea to use it for skin, but I did find a formula that feels luxurious, works better than a lot of pharmaceuticals, and is always going to be affordable. I want everyone from the young couple starting a family to the elderly living on a very tight, fixed income to be able to have these products in their homes.
